With the combined technologies of desanders,
hydrocyclones and Ross Deeptech Symons Absorption Systems we can
offer comprehensive packages to handle the toughest sand washing
assignments.
A typical skid unit would include primary desanders dropping solids
into an accumulator from where they are batch fed to the Cyclowash
hydrocyclone. Oily water exits through the Cyclowash overflow whilst
clean sand and water report to the underflow. If further treatment
is required, the batch can be recycled until it is sufficiently clean
(<1% oil on sand) for overboard discharge.
Oily wash water may be treated with de-oiling hydrocyclones and/or
a Ross Deeptech Symons absorption system depending upon the final
discharge requirements.

A combined Sand Hydrocyclone, De-Oiling and Absorption System was delivered to an offshore clean-up contractor to remove oil from sand and water from FPSO storage tanks to meet environmental discharge requirements.
This featured a Krebs Cyclowash which enables the sand to
be washed as it is separated from the process fluid, enabling
faster throughput due to less wash recycles required.
